The Moran Family

Tell us about your family (where you're from, members, hobbies/interests, things that are important to you).
Hello! We are the Moran family--Robert, Allie, Hudson, and nameless baby #2 due in September!  We moved to Indiana from Georgia almost 3 years ago and recently relocated from Meridian Kessler to Westfield. At the risk of sounding crazy, I may have doubled checked that we were still in the Cafe Baby delivery radius before we officially moved to Westfield. ;) We are members of Northview Church and enjoy traveling, checking out new spots in Indy, and being outdoors!

How did you hear about Café Baby?
When Hudson was about 5 months old and we were cleared to start trying solids, I started researching recipes and was determined to make all my own baby food. Fast forward one week later and I was googling healthy baby food delivery services. This mama was tired of trying to play Betty in the kitchen all day every day. Funny enough, I soon ran into another Cafe Baby mama and she mentioned how much her baby loved the food, so I took that as a sign and submitted my first order that night!

How has Café Baby made a difference in your life?
Where do I start?? Seriously. I tend to be a planner some weeks and a "wing it" mama the rest of the 50 weeks of the year. So for me, it's the convenience factor. I love knowing I can pull out healthy and delicious meals for my now 17- month old baby boy and have breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner ready in 30 seconds. We have cycled back around to ordering Chompies along with Grabbies to try and encourage utensil use and to provide a wide variety of meals/nutrition. We often travel back "home" to Georgia and I can't over emphasize how great it is to pack snacks/lunches/dinners in a cooler and have them ready to go. And the pouches!! Life. Saver. Especially during infancy…ain't nobody got time (or luggage space) to whip out a blender to make baby food in a hotel. I can't wait to start back with spoonies once the newest addition to our family arrives! No stressin' Betty over here!

What are your Café Baby tricks and/or hacks?
I find that I tend to overcook the Puzzle Pizza's, so if I just warm them for 5 seconds (lightening fast!) in the microwave, they are still nice and soft for him to eat!

Do you have a favorite Café Baby item?
Hudson's top 3 favorites are the Baby Ratatouille & Quinoa, Baked Zucchini Pizza, and the Baby Bolognese.

What would be your advice to other parents regarding feeding their little ones?
Don't be scared to mix different foods and eventually different textures together! Hudson was not a fan of the oatmeal by itself but when I mixed it with a spoonful of the pears or enchanting apples, he DEVOURED it.
