FAQ

How often do you ship?

We ship via UPS on Mondays and Thursdays. You will receive an e-mail when your order ships and when it is delivered.

What is the difference in the Chewies and Chompies Dinners?

You will notice the difference in the textures of the Dinner purées. Since the Chompies menu is for 10-12 month babies with a few more teeth, the food products will be left chunkier than those in the Chewies menu.

Is there a shipping charge or minimum order requirement?

Shipping is calculated at checkout and we have a $40 order minimum to ship purées and finger foods.

When should I start my baby on purées?

Pediatricians have differing opinions on when to start solids.  After receiving approval from your pediatrician to begin your baby's food journey, we are here to help.  We recommend beginning with our Spoonies menu.  Always keep in mind, baby's breast milk/formula is still their primary source of nutrition and our products are recommended to be supplementary.

Where is the food prepared and packaged?

All of our products are prepared and packaged at a licensed commercial kitchen located in downtown Indianapolis.

What is your return and refund policy?

Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not accept returns. We want a happy baby and caregiver. If you are dissatisfied with your order, please contact us immediately.

Do I get a refund if my baby doesn't like what I ordered?

A happy baby with a full belly is our number one priority. However, we do not issue refunds if your baby doesn't like a certain purée.

What do I do if my baby has a food allergy?

We strive to list all pertinent allergen information with each product, but suggest each parent/caregiver use their discretion.

What do I do once my order has arrived?

The purées will arrive frozen. Simply remove your frozen items from the shipping box and place them in the freezer and place any baked items in the refrigerator immediately. We highly encourage you to recycle your box and insulated liner.

How do I prepare the purées?

You can thaw the purées in the refrigerator overnight, in a warm water bath, microwave, or stovetop. Please refer to our Recommended Thawing section.

How much do I feed my baby?

We know that all babies have different appetites and lifestyles. Please see our chart above for recommended daily portions. Remember that purées should be a supplement in a baby's diet and should never serve as a replacement of formula or breast milk.

What is the shelf life of the purées?

Each item is packaged with a Best if Used By date. Once transferred to the refrigerator, they have a shelf life of four to five days.  If your baby has a small appetite or is just starting solids, we recommend thawing the container just enough to carve out a small portion and return the rest of the container to the freezer.

How often should I introduce a new food?

We recommend waiting four days to introduce a new food item. This will help you identify problematic foods should your baby have a reaction.
