Finger foods with packed veggies are always a good addition to your toddler’s diet. It is a great practice to keep exposing them to different textures and flavors while ensuring they are getting the nutrition they need. Salmon is a great source of protein and healthy fats that includes all of the necessary building blocks for brain development.
Here is a great recipe for Salmon Meatballs packed with veggies.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large, deep, straight-sided skillet or heavy pot, bring several inches of water to a boil. Place salmon in the water, reduce heat, and cover. Cooking time should take 5 minutes or until salmon is opaque.
Remove salmon from water and set aside to cool. In a medium sized bowl, mix additional ingredients together for your meatballs.
Once salmon has cooled, shred with a fork and add to your meatball mixture.
Roll into 1” wide balls and place in baking dish. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.
